Please help to spread the word!

Can you help us get the word out and more people to join?

Does your organisation have energetic people who'd like to volunteer, who care about the environment and who would like to take part in the biggest cleanup in the world? Does your company have a spacious and appealing noticeboard, home for an invitation to an environmentally-conscious gathering of like-minded people?

If yes, please download and print the poster and display it in your local area!

Let's Do It Liverpool!

Liverpool joins world-wide cleanup on 13 May

The recently established JCI Liverpool (Junior Chamber International) is taking part in the global “Let’s Do It! World” project, which will take place on 13th May 2012. It involves volunteers coming together to clean up illegal garbage in local areas for the benefit of the community. The project has been organised in many countries, particularly in Estonia, where it started in 2008. More than 2m people around the world have already started cleaning up their countries as part of the project (see www.letsdoitworld.org for further details).

Volunteers in Liverpool will be taking part in this project for the first time. The cleanup will be on 13 May 2012 from 1pm to 2pm. The volunteers will meet at the park at Mercury Court, Liverpool, and clean up several areas close to the city centre. The cleanup will last for around an hour, after which the volunteers will meet for coffee & tea.

Kai Graf von Pahlen, solicitor at Hill Dickinson and head of JCI Liverpool, said that the cleanup will be attended by people in Liverpool who are keen to make a positive difference to the community they live in. Anybody can take part.

JCI Liverpool is working with the Commercial District BID, the body responsible for delivering the development and improvements in the commercial district of Liverpool and many local businesses are keen to support the project, including Hill Dickinson and the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.

JCI is a global network of young professionals that offers its members opportunities in (local, national and international) networking, training and volunteer work (see www.jciuk.org.uk for further details).
